Karimnagar Dairy STATUES

The Karimnagar Dairy which follows the footsteps of “Milkman of India” Dr Verghese Kurien to increase the milk production and sales of milk and milk products had installed his statue on the dairy premises in the year 2014. The dairy conducts Dr Kurien’s birth and death anniversaries every year recollecting his services to the cooperative movement and milk revolution. Dr Kurien’s birthday is celebrated as National Milk Day.

The Karimnagar dairy was first in the integrated Karimnagar district to install the statue of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, who was born in the erstwhile Karimnagar district in Vangara village of Bheemadevarapalli mandal, and conducting his birth and death anniversaries. The dairy recollects his economic reforms and other schemes for the development of the country as statesman politician and bringing reputation to the district.
